Experience:
- 12 to 20 years relevant experience, with practical engineering exposure. Design Engineers should be stronger in calculations/design/drawings.

Job Description
- Lead complete refrigeration and heat-pump system design for industrial/process applications.
- Design and develop industrial heat pumps up to approximately 500 kW, including high-capacity systems and high-temperature hot-water applications.
- Develop refrigeration cycles and select suitable compressor technologies, refrigerants and system configurations.
- Perform thermodynamic, heat-transfer, pressure-drop and system-performance calculations.
- Select and optimize compressors, evaporators, condensers/gas coolers, expansion devices, pumps, valves, receivers, separators and other major components.
- Design and optimize heat exchangers and refrigeration/hot-water piping systems for chillers and heat pumps.
- Lead new-product development from concept ® detailed engineering ® prototype ® testing ® design validation ® production release.
- Develop heat-pump systems for higher-temperature applications, including integration with process hot-water requirements.
- Lead prototype performance testing, COP/EER evaluation, capacity verification, operating-envelope validation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), serviceability and cost competitiveness.
- Develop engineering standards, component-selection standards, BOMs, P&IDs, schematics, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
- Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to industrialize new chiller and heat-pump products.
- Lead technical development of controls, sensors, safety logic and system integration in collaboration with controls engineers.
- Mentor refrigeration/mechanical design engineers and build a strong product-development team.

Job Description
- Lead the development of industrial chillers, refrigeration systems and heat pumps up to approximately 500 kW.
- Lead refrigeration-cycle selection, thermodynamic design, compressor and heat-exchanger selection, system architecture and validation.
- Establish engineering standards, design methods, component libraries, NPD gates, technical reviews and DFM/DFA practices.
- Perform and review refrigeration-cycle, capacity, COP/EER, heat-transfer and pressure-drop calculations.
- Develop and review P&IDs;, refrigeration schematics, piping layouts, equipment specifications, BOMs and engineering drawings.
- Select and optimize compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion devices, pumps, valves, receivers and controls.

- Experience with low-temperature refrigeration, process cooling, specialty fluids, cascade systems or advanced heat-pump applications is an advantage.

Job Description
- Execute detailed design and engineering of industrial chillers, refrigeration systems and heat pumps up to approximately 500 kW under the Manager – Design.
- Perform refrigeration-cycle, capacity, COP/EER, heat-transfer and pressure-drop calculations.
- Develop P&IDs, refrigeration schematics, piping layouts, BOMs, equipment specifications and engineering drawings.
- Support compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion-device, pump, valve, receiver and controls selection.
- Develop engineering designs for industrial heat pumps up to approximately 500 kW, including high-temperature and hot-water applications.
- Support prototype assembly, testing, performance validation, troubleshooting and design modifications.
- Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, component datasheets and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure DFM/DFA, ease of assembly and serviceability.
- Support vendor technical discussions and evaluation of critical components.
- Maintain engineering documentation, revision control and design standards.
- Participate in NPD reviews, design verification and product-improvement projects.
- Work as a hands-on engineering resource and continuously improve product performance, reliability and cost.
